Kimberton Fair’s Famous Homemade Donuts

Get ’em while they’re hot!  All the locals rave about Kimberton Fire Company’s delicious homemade and lovingly prepared donuts.  With three varieties to choose from, it’s difficult to pick a favorite.  On the menu: Plain, White Powder Sugared and Cinnamon Sugared.  Each month, The Kimberton Fire Company hosts “Donut Days” selling the donuts by the bag (1/2 dozen or a dozen).  For these prices (just $2.50 for 6 or $5.00 for a dozen) it’s not surprising that the popular treats sell out fast.  They recommend, “Avoid the rush and come early.”  When not selling at the fair, you can place your order by phone, however due to space limitations, they’re not able to take orders for the upcoming week’s events.  Head to The Kimberton Community Fairgrounds from July 26-31 to sample the famous donuts (fair is located off of Route 113, 1 mile south of Phoenixville).  Look for the Donut Kitchen situated at the north side of the Fairgrounds, adjacent to the Firehouse.  And remember, you’re eating for a great cause!  All profits from the donut sales benefit the Kimberton Fire Co. and its Auxiliary.  Love the donuts but can’t make it to this year’s fair?  The next donut days are:  September 27 & 28,  October 25 & 26 (sorry, no donut days in November or December).  For more information on Kimberton Fire Company’s 2010 Donut Days, visit: http://bit.ly/ahQgLG
