Harvest Beer Tasting at Iron Hill Phoenixville

This just in from Iron Hill Brewery’s Phoenixville Head Brewer, Tim Stumph:

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant in Phoenixville has prepared a special Harvest tasting the evening of November 17th.  Starting at 5pm, they will be giving away free samples of Chef Jeremy’s Pumpkin soup paired with Oktoberfest, and a small salad paired with Hoplomachus. Jeremy makes a fantastic pumpkin soup, and Iron Hill managed to save a keg of Fest just for the occassion. Also, Jeremy and along with Head Brewer Tim Stumph have picked hops from Tim’s own vine about a month ago.  The two then soaked the hops in vinegar, whipped them into vinaegrette, and tossed it on a small salad to pair with hoppy ale.  The beers, soup, and salad are available for purchase that evening as well.

A few other notes: The day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday the 24th, Iron Hill will release the last keg of Pumpkin ale, so dont forget your holiday growler!  In the following week (Tuesday, November 30th at 5pm), Iron Hill Phoenixville is hosting a beer tasting of all of our Reserve Bottles. This is your opportunity to taste of the beers: all 17 of them!  The bottles make great holiday gifts and gift boxes are available. In that same week, Iron Hill will tap a cask of Hoplomachus for First Friday, Dec 3rd.
