All You Need is Juice at Strawberry Fields of Phoenixville

If you’ve made a resolution to be healthier, you’ll find some help at Strawberry Fields Juice and Smoothie Bar, which opened in November at 252 Bridge Street in Phoenixville. They serve up fresh and frothy beverage blends made from all-natural and nutritious ingredients.

Co-owners and operators Susan Barrett and Rob Nagy are on a mission to offer good-for-you foods that still pack a delicious punch.

Barrett and Nagy, both residents of Phoenixville, want to prove that eating well can still tantalize your taste buds. Spending more than a year vamping up their shop’s menu, the health-food gurus have geared their concoctions to match all dietary restrictions and requests.

Stepping into their inviting space that’s lined with local artwork, it’s obvious that their mission has been accomplished. The juice bar’s all-organic lineup is fresh and tasty.

Offering affordable “grab and go” items like sandwiches and salads (tuna salad, egg salad, vegan egg salad, chicken salad, etc.); hummus; yogurt bowls topped with fresh fruit, granola and nuts; and other vegan and non-vegan options, Strawberry Fields is convenient and quick. Everything can be enjoyed on-site or prepared for take-out.

Even in the middle of winter, their frozen banana custard hits the spot. It’s made of 100 percent banana, and topped with organic peanut butter or granola.

“All of our juices and smoothies are made from absolutely fresh fruit and healthy ingredients, and are prepared individually for each customer,” Barrett said. “We also offer supplements for our juices and smoothies, including protein powder, protein energy powder, spirulina, vitamin powder, flax seed, flax oil, wheat grass, and much more.”

While you can handpick which fruits and veggies you would like to swirl together, their smoothie and juice menu has plenty of delicious blends. Consider the namesake smoothie, a mash-up of strawberries, bananas and mint; the “Build Me Up,” mixed with whey protein and peanut butter; or the “You’ve Got the Beat,” blended with beets, apples and lime.

“We tried to diversify our menu, including having something in it that everyone would like,” Barrett said. “All are health-conscious and a lot of fun, and we are constantly making additions to the menu.”

It’s not just about healthful creations at Strawberry Fields. It’s also about offering a fun, safe, alcohol-free haven for live music. There are plans in the works to offer live acoustic music in the backyard of the building come spring.
