Holiday Celebrations with Cheese at Yellow Springs Farm Native Plant Nursery and Artisanal Goat Cheese Dairy

Yellow Springs Goat Dairy of the Chester County Cheese Artisans announces that they will host a holiday open house on Saturday, December 10th and 17th, and Friday, December 23rd, from 11 am – 4 pm on their Chester Springs’ farm.

Al and Catherine Renzi, the farm owners and cheese makers, invite all locals to their Yellow Springs Road property during their upcoming open house, to visit with their goats, get a short tour of our cheese making facility, try some of their goat cheese samples, and purchase your favorite goat cheeses. We’re also excited to share that they will have special products for the holidays, including Goat Milk Caramel Sauces and Goat Cheese Truffles.

New for this year, the Renzis will offer goat meat for sale from their pastured-raised Nubian bucks. Also, to assist with holiday party planning, you may pre-order cheese platters for parties, meetings and special events, starting at $60 and up. Special guests, the”Three Chicks Studio,” will additionally be on-site with their pottery on display featuring local artist Nancy Buck. And, with the close of 2011, the Renzis are on the hunt for the following as they speed into the new year:

  • Farm interns for 10-month assignment that would run from March to December 2012. They are also looking for someone who would like to commit for a 24-month assignment. Interns work full-time with goats, cheesemaking, and/or with the growing and management of our native wildflowers, trees, shrubs and vines. Please call or email for more information and an application.
  • Yellow Springs Farm Cheese CSA members for 2012.You can purchase a share on-line or by printing a CSA enrollment form–which is also available on their website. (Gift giving tip: Enrollment into the local CSA is a great gift idea, as it is something that keeps on giving through the year.)
