Alfredo’s Italian Pizza Kitchen Opens March 30 in West Chester

Hungry diners hankering for something old world will find what they’re looking for at Alfredo’s Italian Pizza Kitchen opening this Friday, March 30, at the Commons at Thornbury Shopping Center in West Chester.

Conveniently situated at the intersections of routes 202 and 926, Alfredo’s Italian Pizza Kitchen brings together an old-fashioned pizza shop and a family-style Italian restaurant into newly remodeled digs.

Co-owner Barb Giannaccari says the 100-seat restaurant will showcase many of the most-loved Italian restaurant specialties plus some surprises. Virtually every mouthwatering item is house-made yet the focus is on affordable.

“We bake our own bread. We roll our own gnocchi. We make our own mozzarella. In fact, our pizza cheese is mixed with mozzarella di bufala to give it a creamier, gooier texture,” she added. “Our pizza crust is thinner than the usual, and is fired in a gas stone oven. And, everything on the menu is $15 or less, and the meals include a family-style salad.”

This new restaurant has an impressive heritage: Barb and husband, Alfredo, also own the upscale Alfredo Italian BYO in Berwyn. Alfredo’s Italian Pizza Kitchen is a BYOB, boasts plenty of free parking and is open seven days from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Dine in or take out, but don’t miss WC’s newest destination for authentic Italian eats.
