Allagash Tap Takover Coming Soon to Chestnut 7

Fans of Allagash Brewing Company, craft beer advocates, enjoyers of scrumptious adult beverages, or people who just don’t have plans on Thursday, May 10, listen up!

Allagash, the New England based brewery that began as a one-man operation on the outskirts of Portland, Maine, is Taking Over 6 Draughts on May 10 at Chestnut 7!

The event begins at 4 pm and runs until the kegs can no longer pump out satisfying brews. Suzy Woods, the Mid-Atlantic Sales Representative at Allagash Brewing Company, will be on site to chat and answer any questions you have about the deliciousness that is Allagash. The special event will feature favorite signature selections such as:

Allagash White

Winner of multiple metals at the World Beer Cup, this selection is brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel. The beer is fruity and refreshing.

Allagash Black Stout

A Belgian style stout brewed with 2 Row barley, torrified wheat, oats, both roasted and chocolate malt and a generous portion of dark caramelized candi sugar. The silky mouth feel is a great balance to the roasted character, coffee and dark chocolate notes expressed throughout this beer.

Allagash Victor

Over one hundred pounds of cabernet franc grapes are crushed on site and added directly to the Victor mash. In addition to a generous portion of Pilsner malt, Victor is hopped with Fuggles and Hallertau and fermented with a wine yeast strain. The brew maintains a medium body with a tart and spicy finish. Oh yea, and Chestnut 7 is the first bar in the Philadelphia area to score this beauty!

Allagash Fluxus

Fluxus is a beer brewed every year to commemorate the anniversary of our first beer sold in July 1995. The name Fluxus is Latin for continuous change, something we seem to find ourselves in. Every year, Fluxus is brewed with a different recipe, giving our brewers a chance to push the limits of beer.

Although very drool-worthy, that’s only a portion of what will be offered at Chestnut 7 and beers are subject to change. Check HERE for a full listing of the brews and to stay in tune with the updated selections.
