Alfredo Italian BYO Serves Up New Kind of Networking with Food, Beer and Co. Spotlights

Whether your job sends you on mandatory outings or you’re striving to improve a business of your own, many of us have been there before. Networking events occur on a daily basis, usually stripping our wallets of cold hard cash without anything in return. We hop from table to table with the usual cocktail and hors d’oeuvre offerings, which serves as the highlight of the evening through all the typical activities.

We are here to warn you, don’t lose hope just yet! There is a new way to network because Alfredo Italian (byo) is bringing an energetic and free Meet, Greet, Eat Main Line Business Card Exchange to 668 Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn. The networking events, which are scheduled the first Tuesday of every month from 6 to 7:30 pm, provide an opportunity to connect with businesses of the area that you might not correspond with otherwise.

Barbara Giannaccari, owner of Alfredo Italian (byo), Newtown Grill Restaurant, and Alfredo’s Italian Pizza Kitchen, began organizing these events to boost community bonding and corporate productivity when many needed it most. “We had a fantastic turn out of local business owners…I think part of the reason was because there is no charge, no commitment (drop in and out) and no pressure.” Barbara will be sharing more information about the exchange on Friday, June 1, at 12:30 on WCHE 1520 with Eat, Drink & Meet Mary.

Until tuning into our radio broadcast, we have a few other reasons why the exchanges continue to show success. For starters, each exchange features a different company sponsor who is granted a few minutes to talk about their organization. The next exchange will fall on Tuesday, June 5th and The Philadelphia Inquirer is slated to present as the signature sponsor. June 5th also marks the evening when McKenzie’s Brew House plans to serve refreshing craft brew samples throughout the night. Alfredo’s supplies gourmet bites for guests to enjoy and plans for future exchanges to include a different beverage business each time to keep attendees on their toes and tasting new products from the area.

Only business cards are required to enter but there is a suggested donation of $10 which benefits the Chester County Food Bank. Make sure you come hungry, grab a McKenzie brew and get ready to mingle on Tuesday, June 5, from 6 to 7:30 pm! Space is limited so RSVP as soon as possible by emailing [email protected].

Alfredo Italian (byo) is located at  668 Lancaster Avenue in Berwyn. There is a private lot in the rear of the building off Main St and additional parking is available at Malvern Federal after 6 pm. If you are interested in sponsoring an event email [email protected].
