La Verona Italian Restaurant’s Bar Debuts on June 26

By Jim Breslin

Would you like some chianti with your meal?

Jack Majrav, the co-owner of La Verona Italian Restaurant on State Street in Kennett Square, called us with some happy news – starting tomorrow, June 26th, La Verona’s bar will be open. The Italian restaurant opened last November, but ran into unexpected delays in obtaining a liquor license. They’ve been operating as a BYOB in the interim.

Jack informed us that the bar will be serving a full assortment of wine, liquor and beer. He read off the list of beers they will have on tap to start: Victory’s Summer Love, Yuengling, Miller Lite, Blue Moon and Guinness, plus a select beer from both Sam Adams and Dogfish Head.

Jack also told me they are working to create a happy hour menu that will debut soon. You can read our full review of La Verona from last November here.
