Chester County Grand Prix Comes to Phoenixville, June 30

Phoenixville is gearing up for hundreds of cyclists to come rolling through town this Saturday, June 30. The Chester County Grand Prix is taking over all day, beginning on Bridge Street at 2 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m., for the Phoenixville Criterium. This will be the third stop for the race, as it heads through several different towns in Chester County. It begins in Oxford today, June 28 and finishes in Kennett Square on July 6, hitting your favorite Chester County cities like Malvern in between.

The Phoenixville Criterium offers something for every kind of biker, inviting young kids for a fun race and real professionals for the Master’s Race. Join what is expected to be a 5,000 person turnout to see competitive cycling in action. It’s supposed to be a beautiful Summer day and perfect weather for a Victory Beer. Thankfully, the race’s biggest sponsor will have a beer garden set up in the parking lot on the corner of Bridge Street and South Main Street.

Watch the bikers race by, sip on Summer Love, and grab a seat at your favorite Phoenixville restaurant afterward. The eateries will be as inviting as always and look forward to the great company throughout the day.

If you can’t join for the full day of fun, be sure to attend for the featured race of the day, a men’s pro race. It starts at about 6:15 p.m. and runs until 7:45 p.m. All races begin and end on Bridge street. This is definitely an original experience you won’t want to miss!
