Craft Beer Club Coming to Bistro on Bridge

By Kevin Dragone

Word got out on Facebook about a new “Craft Beer Card” coming to Bistro on Bridge. Buzz was generated, comments were liked, and craft beer fans were thirsty. So, what is this card, you ask? How do you get a hold of one? Well, I got the low down from the source, owner of Bistro on Bridge, Zach Hoffman.

Basically, you receive a card (pictured right) when you purchase a craft beer. No membership fee required. With each visit to the Bistro on Bridge, you receive a stamp with each craft beer purchase (maximum of two stamps per visit). Selections include both draft and bottle. Certain varieties are excluded, but not many (ask your server for full details). Once you’ve accumulated ten stamps, you receive a free order of appetizers.  Pretty simple!

I took the opportunity to sit down with Zach and ask him why now? Why the sudden inspiration?

“Now, more than ever, is the perfect time for something like this. When we opened our doors three years ago, the craft beer industry wasn’t what it is today. More and more people are broadening their horizons and trying these beers. With that idea in mind, we’re looking to say, ‘thank you’ to our loyal customers and show them the selection we have to offer.”

When I asked about their lineup and what we can expect to see at the Bistro, Zach responded, “Lately, we’ve been really developing a great selection of craft beers from our vendors. We’re really excited about the Habanero Sculpin, which for the first time ever, is coming to PA. It’s normally a seasonal on the West Coast. We’ll be one of the select few serving it during its limited release.”

Other craft beer selections you’ll see at Bistro on Bridge include Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, Founders Kentucky Breakfast Stout and a number of limited releases from Heavy Seas, Lagunitas and Dogfish Head.

The cards are not ready yet, but they will be soon. Make sure to stay posted to Bistro’s Facebook page for further details.
