Appalachian Brewing Company’s Beer Releases of the Week, July 26

Have you popped by Appalachian Brewing Company (ABC) in Collegeville yet? No, you say? Perhaps the new beer releases this Thursday, July 26th will give you a reason to make an appearance.

At 6 p.m., Appalachian Brewing Co. will host an official double-tapping, starting with their Nugget Blonde Ale, which happens to be part of their Harrisburg small batch series. This light refreshing blonde was dry hopped with 11 pounds of Nugget hops allowing for a nice floral nose, while keeping the overall bitterness quite low. Be warned: this one will not last long!

Also being tapped come Thursday will be the Vienna Lager. Brewed in Harrisburg, this beer has a slight malty finish and a beautiful copper hue. The use of German hops balances the malt backbone to create a very drinkable session beer perfect for the long days of summer.

ABC has been in their Collegeville location for a little more than a year and is one of 6 that are now open. The flagship brewery is located in Harrisburg. The Collegeville outpost is a bit difficult to find if you don’t know where it is. Make sure you set your GPS to West 3rd Avenue and Chestnut Streets (not the actual address), or else you will end up someplace entirely different in Collegeville. ABC’s local brewpub is located in an adorable building called Collegeville Station on the 2nd floor, tucked next to a post office and behind the Collegeville Diner.
