Iron Hill Brewery Goes Head-to-Head Against Allagash for an Upcoming Beer Dinner, Nov. 6

Do you remember Iron Hill’s victory against adult grape juice during their recent Beer vs. Wine Dinner? Now it’s time to return to the Phoenixville establishment and support your favorite brew in a Beer vs Beer throwdown.

This isn’t your average beer pairing dinner. Both breweries, Iron Hill and Allagash Brewing Company, will present a pairing option for each course and the diner must decide the ultimate winner. Studious notes along the way are very much encouraged.

The five-course face-off will take place on November 6th beginning at 7 p.m. Reservations are required for the $85 per person dinner (gratuity included) so be sure to spy the menu below and secure your spot as soon as possible!

 Beer vs. Beer Dinner 

Autumn Terrine
butternut squash, goat cheese, chestnuts, pears, micro greens and buckwheat honey
IHB: Honey Saison -vs- Allagash: White

Rare Seared Hamachi
smoked fish roe, spiced plum puree and tempura fried fennel
IHB: Smokin’ Blonde -vs- Allagash: Fluxus

Porcini-Dusted Day Boat Scallops
fried serrano ham, butternut squash, pickled mushrooms and fig jus
IHB: Oktoberfest -vs- Allagash: Tripel

Country Fried Duck Confit
buttermilk biscuit, braised mustard greens and foie gras gravy
IHB: Abbey Dubbel -vs- Allagash: Dubbel

Sweet Potato Cake
cream cheese frosting, pepita brittle and pumpkin pie coulis
IHB: Pumpkin Ale -vs- Allagash: FOUR
