West Chester Veterans Parade Set For Sunday, November 11

Thanks to the election taking place this week, we’re all in the patriotic spirit this week! Keep this spirit alive through the weekend by planning to attend the West Chester Veterans Day Parade on Sunday, November 11th. Bring the kids out so they can honor the men and women who have fought for our freedoms.

The parade will begin at the corner of Gay and Darlington Streets at 2 p.m., and will feature Veterans, Cub Scout Troops, West Chester University athletes, fraternities and more. A Memorial Ceremony is also scheduled to take place at Veterans Plaza at 3 p.m.

In order to show their support for Veterans, and to encourage residents to line the streets for the festive parade, several local restaurants and businesses are offering specials or discounts on Sunday. You may have noticed certain restaurant staff wearing Veterans Parade buttons to promote the festivities.

At Side Bar & Restaurant, anyone who comes in with one of the pins or wristbands being given out at the parade will receive 25% off their check.

Culinary Deliveries is offering a 20 percent discount to those who have attended the parade or ceremony. Just let them know on Sunday!

Doc Magrogan’s Sunday offerings include $15 crab cake entrees, $8 crab cake sandwiches and $5 signature Bloody Marys.

Also, on Thursday night, November 8th, Doc Magrogan’s and Culinary Deliveries are hosting a fundraiser for the West Chester Veterans Council. The event is being held at Doc Magrogan’s, and the cover charge of $20 includes well drinks, domestic beers, house wine and complimentary appetizers. Several gift cards have been donated for the silent auction with proceeds also supporting the West Chester Veterans Council.

More information about the fundraiser can be found here.
