Holiday Planning 101: Top Picks for Hanukkah Recipes & Table Decor

The holidays are upon us, and no matter what traditions you celebrate, excellent food will be served on the table. This Saturday, December 8th, Hanukkah begins at sunset. While I myself am not Jewish, Jewish food has always had a place in my heart and stomach. These two different latke recipes add a unique touch that has my mouth watering!

Sweet potato latkes with brie and baby arugula from Joy of Kosher sounds so yummy!, this challah recipe is on my to-make list from Bakingdom and I can’t wait to try it — I really want to make challah French toast!, Levivot is basically a form of donut and this recipe adds a great exotic sugar syrup from The Shiksa, Latkes and lox from The Way to His Heart.

To accompany these great recipes here are a couple suggestions to brighten your Hanukkah table.

We often see many variations of Christmas garland for the mantle, but how cute is this dreidel garland from Better Homes and Garden. A fun menorah architecture card, this would be great at a place setting, from Architette Studios. Such a great mercury glass menorah from Pottery Barn. Oh my goodness, how adorable are these marshmallow dreidels from the Kitchn? I’ve always been obsessed with creative wrapping ideas and these ideas from Martha Stewart are perfect and simple. A great idea for a more modern Hanukkah table this place setting from Apartment Therapy is ideal, using a little bit darker of a napkin and a pewter charger to vamp up the table. Simple and edible these monogrammed cookies, from Martha Stewart, serve as a great name card and show that personal touch.

Happy Hanukkah!
