Saint James of Suburban Square Debuts Lunch and Weekend Brunch

The Main Line’s dining scene is blossoming, enriched by newly opened, innovative and comfortable spots, each a unique gem of their own. That is certainly the case with The Saint James of Ardmore, which opened to the food loving masses back in October (Town Dish was on the scene). While the center city dining experience was welcomed immediately by many, that hasn’t stopped the area’s top restaurateurs, Chef Michael Schulson and Rob Wasserman, from bringing their fans even more. What does that mean? Lunch and Brunch!

In November, chef Matt Moon (formerly of Talula’s Table) began serving up lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., featuring a delicious array of flatbreads, sandwiches, soups, salads and larger plates, including:  Clam & Bacon Flatbread, with chili flakes, parsley and lemon; Maine Lobster Roll, served with tomato and Dijon aioli on a potato roll; French Onion Soup with Gruyere and thyme; Saint James Chopped Salad with turkey, walnut, apple and cranberry; and Tender Brisket & Gnocchi. Items range in price from $8 to $23. A market-fresh raw bar is available to lunch guests as well.

Every Saturday and Sunday brunch begins at 11 a.m. and is served until 3 p.m., featuring traditional brunch dishes as well as flatbreads, sandwiches, soups and salads. Menu items include: Steak & Eggs, served with fries, steak sauce and shallots; Breakfast Burrito with beans, brisket and eggs; Challah French Toast with maple syrup and cinnamon apple; Asparagus & Crab Egg White Omelet with greens, tomato and cucumber; as well as a variety of sides such as Cheddar Biscuits, Turkey Bacon, Hash Browns and Lancaster Ham.  Items range in price from $4 to $23.  Brunch diners may also enjoy the raw bar.

To its already stellar list of signature cocktails, The Saint James adds a few that are a perfect complement to the new brunch selections including: Grapefruit Sparkler, sparkling wine, grapefruit and Campari; Athens Paloma, tequila, agave, citrus and egg white; and Red Russian, vodka, Kahlua, raspberry and cream.
