The beer world may never be the same, thanks to local brewer Sly Fox! Next week they’ll be debuting the industry’s first canned brew with a completely removable lid. Pop the lid off, and the can becomes a glass—enhancing the beer-drinking experience and cutting down on waste (the lids are 30% lighter than a beer cap).
Worried that lid removal will create a sharp lip? Fear not! The innovative “360 Super End” design means that the lip of the can is completely safe, having passed various sharp tests used in testing children’s toys.
Sly Fox will only have Helles Golden Lager cans with a removable lid to start. The unique brews are available at Sly Fox Pubs now, with a wider distribution starting next week.
