Philly Beer Week to Hit Chestnut Hill, Featuring an Iron Hill Beer Dinner, Brew-Infused Movie Screenings & More

philly beer weekIt’s almost time for Philly Beer Week! Clear your schedules for 10 days of great brews, running from May 31 through June 9.

What started six years ago with a handful of participating bars and restaurants has grown to include 240 participants and close to 1,000 events over 10 days in 2013. It’s estimated that last year over 70,000 attendees quaffed many (many!) beers over the course of 10 days, making Philly Beer Week (PBW) the largest beer week in the United States.

Check out all of the PBW events on the event’s website and via the PBW smartphone apps. Last year, the apps were downloaded by 10,000 beer drinkers during the 10-day beer-stravaganza.

Three locations in Chestnut Hill will be getting into the spirit of PBW this year:

Malt House Ltd. will be showing two brew-related flicks, Strange Brew on Friday, May 31, and Beer Fest on Thursday, June 6, and will also be having a homebrew event and a game night. More details here.

Trolley Car Diner is having beer tastings and a Beer BBQ on Saturday, June 8. Get all the info here.

Iron Hill Chestnut Hill will be hosting a fantastic beer dinner on Tuesday, June 4. Five local breweries—including Iron Hill, Free Will, Forest and Main, Neshaminy Creek and Tired Hands—will be participating. Enjoy five beers and five courses. Check out the menu:
