Volunteers are needed for the Chester County Food Bank‘s newest garden, located at at Waterloo Gardens in Exton.
Sign up for “Waterloo Wednesdays” and help the Food Bank on this nearly half acre garden. Green thumbs are not required; all you need is a willingness to contribute to the outstanding mission of the Chester County Food Bank, a nonprofit organization that collects, grows, processes, stores and distributes food to those who serve the hungry of Chester County.
This is a fun way to spend the afternoon (available hours are from 3 to 7 p.m.) and help plant and harvest fresh food for Chester County food cupboards. Volunteers are asked to bring gloves and work shoes and wear old clothes; plan on getting dirty!
