TownDish’s Amy Strauss Featured on Chocolate Covered Memories, Shares Family’s Strawberry Rhubarb Recipe

We could sing the praises of Amy Strauss—PA Eats’s Editor-in-Chief, Social Media Manager and baker extraordinaire—for ages! And now it looks like others are discovering how dedicated, talented and just plain fun she is, too. Amy was recently featured in Chocolate Covered Memories, an online collection of up-close profiles of those in the food world. Each profile puts the spotlight on foodie talent running the gamut from chefs and bakers to restaurant owners and food writers.

We thought we knew everything about our own full-blown Dutchie, but in the article we learned that Amy spent the better part of her teenage years at Bauman’s Apple Butter factory and cidery, where she picked up her astonishing wealth of knowledge about apples. She was also a vegetarian for nearly a decade, although now her interests include nose-to-tail butchery. And—say it isn’t so!—she once had her eye on being a music writer.

Dig in here to read more about Amy’s start as a food writer, her fondest food memories and her absolute favorite foods. Oh, and you definitely don’t want to miss Amy’s recipe for Strawberry Rhubarb Crumb Pie!
