Dia Doce to Open a Storefront in Downtown West Chester

Award-winning Dia Doce Cupcakes will be opening a store in downtown West Chester.  Owner, Thais daSilva, returned to Chester County from New York City with a mission to bring the gourmet cupcake experience to ChesCo and the surrounding areas.

Loaded with her grandmother’s recipes, style and creativity, Thais has gained an ever-growing following and swept the competition on The Food Network’s Cupcake Wars.

For the last two years, she’s been serving up her sweet treats from a vibrant green food truck and rumors have been swirling that Dia Doce will soon be a brick and mortar operation. PA Eats is happy to report that those rumors are true. Thais and her baking crew will be opening in downtown West Chester at the end of the summer.

“Thank you to all of my wonderful supporters, we couldn’t do this without you! Rumors are confirmed! Dia Doce will be at 100 South High Street, opening August 2013,” Thais posted on her Facebook page today.

Dia Doce’s cupcakes are gourmet creations that use local ingredients and refined recycled packaging. Her favorite flavors include lemon cake with lemon curd filling and lavender icing and a caffeine boost treat of ground up chocolate covered espresso beans baked into a chocolate cake.

The West Chester location will also have Cathey’s Coffee bar so perk up while you please your sweet tooth. Town Dish will have additional details for you as we learn more.
