Cafette Closes Its Doors After 20 Years of Success

Cafette, ExteriorAfter 20 years in Chestnut Hill, Cafette closed its doors last week. In a note left on the restaurant’s door (read the full text here), owner Jan Wilson encouraged faithful followers to support her “transition from comfort food to comfort,” as she switches careers to pursue acupuncture. The back room of Cafette will temporarily act as Wilson’s clinic until someone new takes over the restaurant. In the letter, she offers a complimentary auricular acupuncture treatment for all who are interested.

Chestnut Hill Dish wishes Jan much success in her future endeavors—although we sure will miss her incredible fried chicken, which PA Eats‘s Amy Strauss waxed rhapsodic about late last year in this article. Best of luck!
