Halloween in Manayunk Promises Thrills, Chills & Festive Treats for All Ages, October 26

There’ll be thrills and chills and a little something for everyone at Manayunk’s Halloween celebration, to be held Saturday, October 26! Read on for a schedule of all the day’s events …

manayunk halloweenPhiladelphia Flea Market

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Treat yourself to some frighteningly good deals at Philadelphia’s largest flea market! Shop for one-of-a-kind antiques, collectibles and vintage items. The market will be located on Main Street between Rector and Pensdale.

Fall Festival in Pretzel Park

10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

HalloweenDon those costumes and head out to the park for food trucks & vendors, a farmers’ market, story time, face painting, art activities, raffles, dance performances, live music and more! Enter the kids (both human and furry) in the children’s and dogs’ costume contests and parades. Seasonal fun includes pumpkin painting, a pumpkin-throwing contest, food carving demos, a fall photo booth and a classic horror movie screening.

Trick or Treating

Noon to 4 p.m.

Grab a MNYK Halloween bag from a Manayunk business or the MNYK table located on Cotton Street, and follow the Scarecrows to participating businesses to collect your treats. Just don’t eat it all at once!

Zombie Thriller Dance Off

2 to 3 p.m.

Who’s got the moves? Zombies will be taking over Cotton Street for the first-ever Zombie Thriller Dance-Off! Merge Dance Studio‘s owner and choreographer, Christa Campbell, will lead a step-by-step instruction session before the competition begins. The competition will award up to $1,000 in prizes for “Best Zombie Costume” and “Best Dancer” in age-specific categories. Register here.
