Chester County Food Bank Featured on CBS News

Did you know that in Chester County alone, there are over 40,000 households who do not have enough food to put on the table? Children and families in our own backyard go hungry every single day. The Chester County Food Bank combats hunger locally by distributing over 1.8 million pounds of food per year to over 90 organizations that include food cupboards, meal sites and non-profit organizations.

They are not your typical food bank, though. Through their farming and raised bed gardens programs, a collaboration with local farms and organizations, the Food Bank distributes and grows over 400,000 pounds produce to ensure that participating families receive nutritious meals.
