There are many notable things about the month of March. March “comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.” The days become instantly longer as Daylight Savings time ends. And spring finally makes an appearance (after a very, very long winter). We contend, though, that the greatest thing about March is that everyone gets to be Irish on St. Patrick’s Day. From wearing green and eating corned beef and cabbage to watching a parade and drinking (green) beer, the whole community enjoys temporary Irish status.
One local foodie spot has taken St. Patrick’s Day to a new level, and for good reason. Kildare’s Irish Pub has one goal: to provide an authentic Irish experience. They pour the perfect pint all year ‘round, so why wouldn’t we trust them to provide the public with the perfect St. Patrick’s Day celebration?
Kildare’s is once again hosting 17 Days of St. Pats, now in its second year. For the first 17 days of March, Kildare’s will be offering fun and unique St. Patrick’s-themed promotions, such as free Irish Trilogy flights and Free Bangers and Mash bites. Other days offer a great deal on authentic Irish food, including $9.99 Fish and Chips. “We wanted to enhance the Irish experience,” explains Kildare’s Kevin Thomas. “We wanted to offer something different, that one wouldn’t normally experience.” And it involves a lot of fun experimentation with Jameson and Guinness!
The culmination of the 17 Days will be St. Patrick’s weekend. Those who opt-in for a VIP pass (only $25 and can be purchased in advance!) can start the weekend with a FREE Irish Breakfast and Pint while wearing their FREE VIP T-Shirt. While others will have to pay a cover to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in true Irish style, VIP members can use their lanyard to get into Kildare’s for no cover, all weekend (and all St. Patrick’s Day) long. “It’s going to be a good time, all month long,” promised Kevin.
Kildare’s will be offering the great food and drink of their St. Patrick’s Day menu for the entire month of March. For those who have an amazing time celebrating at Kildare’s on St. Patrick’s Day, the Guinness Stew, Shepherd’s Pie and Seafood Coddle will be available until the 31st.
So suit up in your favorite green attire, work up a true Irish appetite and head over to Kildare’s to join in the fun all month long!
