Top 6 Happy Hours in West Chester

It is March, so the weather must surely break soon. After doing nothing more than shoveling and hibernating this long, harsh winter, it’s now time to celebrate the warming, lengthening days at some of your favorite watering holes. Here are a few of the best Happy Hour Specials in the West Chester borough. Enjoy!

Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant

If you’re a fan of Iron Hill West Chester’s exclusive beers, definitely swing by for their Thursday and Friday Happy Hours from 5-7 p.m. During these hours, their stellar list of house beers are only $3, and their seasonal beers are only $4. Right now, they have Russian Imperial Stout and Shokolad Stout on tap. Dragging your non-beer-drinking friend with you? They’ll enjoy the $4 house wine and seasonal drinks. You must sit in the bar and cocktail areas only to enjoy Happy Hour prices.

Side Bar & Restaurant

Over at Side Bar and Restaurant, we love that their Happy Hour runs Monday–Wednesday, 5–7 p.m.; and Thursday–Friday, 4–7 p.m. They offer $2.50 domestic drafts and select craft drafts are $3. Stoli vodka drinks are $3.50 and house wines are $5. Select appetizers are 25% off. Our favorite day at Side Bar is Tuesday, where they have Kick the Keg Day and Mac and Cheese Night. If you haven’t tried Chef Blaise’s Mac and Cheese, you haven’t lived. More details here.

Kildare’s Irish Pub

St. Patty’s Day is coming, so think Irish! At Kildare’s Irish Pub, Happy Hour includes half-priced appetizers at the bar and daily beer specials. We love Thursdays at Kildare’s, when drafts are only $2 and their famous delectable nachos will fill you up for only $5. Read more about their specials here.

Landmark Americana

Are you breaking out of work early and feeling hungry? Landmark Americana offers discounted finger foods Monday through Friday from 4–7 p.m. Early Happy Hour also includes $3 Coors Light and Torpedo Pounders, $4 mixed drinks and martinis, plus $5 Barefoot wines. Had a rough day at the office? Try the $5 shot and a beer (Narragansett and SoCo lime) to take the edge off. In addition to the Happy Hour Specials, Landmark offers different beer specials each day. More here.

Ram’s Head Bar and Grill

Down on Market Street, Ram’s Head Bar and Grill salutes Happy Hour every weekday with all drafts for $3 from 5–7 p.m. If you sit at the bar, there’s half-price Happy Hour food specials that change daily. Our favorite of these specials is on Monday, where you can sit at the bar and savor a half-price filet cheesesteak. If you are hitting Ram’s Head on Tuesday, bring your growler and get 25% off when you fill it with one of their awesome craft beers.

Teca

Wine lovers will want to check out Teca’s Happy Hour, which runs Monday through Friday from 5–7 p.m. The bar menu is quite light on the wallet, with $4 house wines and $5 mixed drinks. Teca’s Happy Hour Menu is also quite decadent, with dishes such as Lobster Ravioli with Lobster Brandy Cream Sauce,  Parmesan Encrusted Tilapia Salad and other dishes for $7. Here’s more details.

Just think, many of these establishments will soon have their outdoor seating in place and we’ll be reporting to you on the best outdoor drinking spots. Really, it will happen soon. Fingers crossed.
