Big Band and Broadway at Longwood Gardens (May 24)

Welcome the unofficial start to summer with live music at Longwood Gardens on Saturday, May 24. Listen to Big Band and Broadway era tunes while catching a fantastic fireworks display. This event often sells out so purchase tickets ahead of time on the Longwood Gardens site to ensure you don’t miss out. There will also be a summertime barbecue on site prior to the event for those who want to grab a bite to eat.

Historic Kennett Memorial Day Parade (May 26)

The historic Kennett Square Memorial Day Parade takes place at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 26. The parade will honor local veterans and entertain crowds with color guard groups, high school bands, antique military vehicles and much more. The parade route starts at Kennett High School and ends at Union Hill Cemetery where a memorial gun salute will take place.

The area’s freshest craft beer stop, KSI Crafts, is officially opening on Memorial Day. Based at 201 East Street Street, the new mix-a-six shop is a perfect stop as you’re on your way to Memorial Day festivities. Like the new shop on Facebook in the meantime!
