Doc Magrogan’s Craft Beer & Lobster Bake Benefits Two Charities Mid-August

If you love craft beer and lobster for a great cause, the place to be mid-August is Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House in University City or West Chester. Two events benefitting two very worthy charities will be taking place on August 16 and 17.

On Saturday, August 16, head to Doc Magrogan’s Oyster House in University City from 1–5 p.m. to enjoy unlimited craft beer and indulgent lobster dishes to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. The second event, also featuring all-you-can-enjoy craft beer and lobster dishes galore, will take place at Doc Magrogan’s in West Chester on Sunday, August 17, from noon–4 p.m. and will benefit Safe Harbor of Chester County.

Lobster

Each day’s menu will be a little bit different, but both have the same craft beer and lobster theme. In University City, each guest will enjoy a one-pound steamed lobster along with lobster rolls, surf and turf sliders, lobster mac and cheese and lobster ravioli. Those who attend the Safe Harbor event in West Chester can look forward to a one-pound steamed lobster, peel and eat shrimp, steamed mussels in a lemon garlic beer broth, pasta salad, roasted red bliss potatoes and Jersey corn.

Tickets for each event are $40 per person in advance, $45 at the door. Tickets for the University City event can be found at this link, while West Chester event tickets can be obtained via this link.

Unlimited craft beer and fabulous lobster dishes, all for a great cause, make for one spectacular weekend. Make it to one or both—just be sure not to miss this fundraising event at Doc Magrogan’s.
