7th Annual BBQ at the Ballpark Promises Local Brews & Mouthwatering Meats

Unless you’ve been living in a cave, you may have come across a Phillies fan here and there in your daily travels. Keep in mind folks, these are not the same Phillies fans you may have crossed paths with back in 2008, when the Phillies won it all. They are probably a bit disgruntled, pessimistic and, simply put, ready for football season to kick off. Let us remind you, however, that these same unenthusiastic Phillies fans still know how to enjoy a good tailgate. And when this tailgate promises delicious eats, local sips and 100% of the proceeds going to charity, well that’s a good time we can ALL get behind!

BBQ at the Ballpark

Join the folks behind Rolling Barrel Events as they gear up to bring arguably the most delicious tailgate to the Jetro Lot (across the street from Citizens Bank Park) on Saturday, August 23, from 2–7 p.m. The 7th annual BBQ at the Ballpark promises to be bigger and better than ever. Enjoy BBQ goodness provided by Sweet Lucy’s while sipping on some craft beers from local breweries like Sly Fox, Weyerbacher Brewing Company, Philadelphia Brewing CompanyConshohocken Brewing Company, and Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company. If a succulent BBQ pulled pork sandwich paired with a Neshaminy Creek County Line IPA sounds like a good time, then be sure to gather your friends and make your way down to South Philly for the tailgate of the year.

Tickets can be purchased ahead of time, and don’t worry, they didn’t forget safety first. They’re also offering Designated Driver tickets at a discounted rate. Rolling Barrel also knew there might be a few youngsters out there who weren’t quite of the legal drinking age. Feel free to bring the kids to the tailgate, also at a discounted rate. 100% of the net proceeds will go to the Marianne E. Mebert Memorial Fund, which is committed to raising money to fund research for curing Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a subcategory of breast cancer that’s often very aggressive and reoccurring.

See you at the ballpark!
