13 Diners You’ll Find in Philly — Which One Are You?

We love Foobooz from phillymag.com, which is focused on every aspect of the food world, Philly-style. Every now and again, we come across an article that’s just too good not to share with our own audience. Such is the case with the 13 different type of diners you’ll find lurking in and around the Philadelphia area. Take a look below to see if you are guilty (or proud) of the following foodie behaviors.

Suburbanites Who Instagram Their Entire Meal

Heck, you may even be “one of them”—those people in your Instagram feed who seem to do nothing all day but eat delicious, photogenic foods that you’ll never get around to trying in your lifetime. They Instagram everything from the carafe of water on the table to the empty dessert plate at the end of a four-course meal and everything in between. Foobooz says you can find this type at El Vez, Continental and Amada, often overheard saying, “Do you think this looks better in Valencia or #nofilter?”

The Cheesesteak Snobs

The great cheesesteak debate in Philly is one that stems from pride, experience and a sure sense of “know-it-all-ness.” These experts are unwavering in their quick response to “who makes the best cheesesteak in Philly?” You’ll likely hear Steve’s, D’Alessandro’s and John’s Roast Pork among the top three answers given. Long gone are the days where a steak wit whiz from Pat’s or Geno’s is the heated topic.

The Vegans/Vegetarians

No matter how nutritious kale is, most carnivores will never get behind the notion that kale chips are tastier than cheetos. There’s probably some truth to their catchphrase “we just feel lighter, you know?” but we’re not sure just how in sync we’ll ever be with those who live the plant-based life. You can find this dining type frequenting Vedge, HipCityVeg or Trader Joes on any given day.
