The 2014 Pour The Core: Hard Cider Festival is coming to Philadelphia on Saturday, September 27. This second annual event showcases more than 40 ciders and will feature a number of different seminars on cider making and all things hard cider.
Cider enthusiasts, here’s your chance to try an array of world-class ciders made both locally and around the globe and meet the cider makers responsible for creating some of these popular and award-winning fermentations. Cider seminars will also be held.
Ciders will be sampled on the picturesque grounds of the Philadelphia Navy Yard at 4747 South Broad Street from 1–5 p.m. The event is rain or shine and is for those 21 and older only. Food (not included in ticket price) will be available for purchase from Vernalicious, Say Cheese and The Cow and the Curd.
A sell-out is expected, so get those tickets early! General admission (GA) tickets are $40. GA ticketholders will receive a 5-ounce tasting glass with a 2-ounce pour line, made available by the tasting glass sponsor, Woodchuck Hard Cider. Designated driver (DD) tickets are also available for $10. Once the event sells out, no additional tickets will be available.
