How to Nab Locally Sourced Organic Sides for Your Thanksgiving Family Feast

A succulent “Sides-Giving” can be yours this holiday, with the help of Harvest Seasonal Grill & Wine Bar. The restaurant will be offering family-sized portions of locally sourced organic Thanksgiving sides at all four Harvest locations—in Philadelphia, Glen Mills, North Wales and Harrisburg.

The delectable dishes are Butternut Squash Soup, with toasted pumpkin seeds and local organic honey ($20); Harvest Salad, which features mixed greens, roasted soy beans, carrots, cherry tomatoes and Harvest’s homemade vinaigrette ($25); Organic Green Bean Casserole, with locally sourced green beans and porcini mushrooms, toasted almonds and crispy onions ($44); Organic Local Macaroni & Cheese featuring elbow macaroni, organic cheddar from Hope Springs Farm and milk from the Lancaster Farm Fresh co-op ($44); Sweet Potato Mash, with locally sourced, organic sweet potatoes, brown sugar, spiced ginger and orange ($39); and Garlic Mashed Potatoes made from local organic potatoes, butter and fresh garlic ($39).

“We realize that families are busier than ever during this time of the year, so we wanted to provide some delicious organic dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients for area families on Thanksgiving,” said Harvest owner Dave Magrogan. “Many hosts and guests alike don’t have the time to cook every single dish for the holiday, so we happily prepare them for pick up. And we don’t mind if anyone passes them off as their own. We’re actually quite proud when that happens.”

Side dishes that can be pre-ordered until Sunday, November 23, at 5 p.m. All orders must be picked up from the restaurant locations on Wednesday, November 26, from 11 a.m.–10 p.m.
