Feeling great at the holidays and in the new year is as easy as seven steps, according to Registered Dietitian and Certified Professional Health and Wellness Coach Ashvini Mashru, whose new e-book promises to help everyone, particularly busy moms, get a head start on a healthy holiday season and a fresh start for 2015.

ashvini mashruMashru, owner of Wellness Nutrition Concepts in Malvern, has released “7 Easy Steps to Ignite Change to a New Healthy You.” This e-book joins Mashru’s other hands-on, online and virtual tools that fit her mission of coaching individuals to effectively lose weight and develop healthy eating habits that stick. In addition to this new e-book, Mashru has also published “101 Weight Loss Tips That Actually Work” and “Tips and Tricks to a New Thinner You! A Resource Guide for Healthy Eating and Weight Loss.”

Mashru, who has 12 years of experience as a clinical and specialized practice dietitian, teaches individuals and families how to discover new ways of eating healthy, starting with how to shop for healthy foods. After meeting with clients, she conducts a “makeover” of their home pantry and refrigerator, organizing them with healthy foods that meet their lifestyle and nutrition needs. In addition, she provides step-by-step customized nutrition plans that clients can follow.

Mashru founded Wellness Nutrition Concepts in 2012. A wife and mother of two children, she understands the particular dietary needs of busy moms and is well known for her special understanding of the challenges stay-at-home, working, entrepreneur and corporate moms have with preparing healthy meals for their families and themselves. “Fad diets don’t work,” she said. “People typically just put the weight back on. It’s about eating the right foods on a regular basis. If you divide a plate into four sections, one section should have fruit, another one has vegetables, a third section is for protein and the fourth holds whole grains with fiber.
