Dying to Eat the Daily Burger Specials Seen on “Bob’s Burgers”?

Fans of the Fox series Bob’s Burgers may wonder while watching: What would those daily chalkboard specials look and taste like in “real life”?

Satisfy your curiosity with The Bob’s Burger Experiment, a burger-based blog by Cole Bowden, who took it upon himself to re-create the show’s featured burgers in his own home, to varying results. From season 5’s juicy “Blondes Have More Fun-Gus Burger”—the all-beef patty topped with fresh mushrooms and a spicy coconut peanut sauce shown above—to the “Sympathy for the Deviled Egg Burger” covered in deviled egg salad and served on a toasted kaiser roll, thus far Cole has cooked up dozens of burgers and has no plans to stop until he’s made them all. His efforts have been noticed by BuzzFeed and NPR, among others, and now he’s even landed a book deal. The project is still in its early stages, but Rizzoli has signed on as the publisher, according to Loren Bouchard, creator of Bob’s Burgers, who will illustrate the cookbook, with Bowden supplying the recipes.
