What’s the Deal with fatCoffee?

When Ben Levin’s wife sent him an article about Bulletproof coffee in 2014, he tried it out and, like many others, enjoyed the results. But, due to the nature of traveling for his job, he found it only to be convenient when he was at home with a blender. Most Bulletproof coffee recipes call for MCT Oil and Ghee, or grass-fed butter. Wanting to improve the product and create something that could be used on the go, Ben founded fatCoffee.

Ben wanted something that was easily digested and could help provide energy and start his metabolism. The benefits of Bulletproof coffee can help people who don’t regularly eat breakfast to be full and energized from a cup of coffee. Ben went to work in Philadelphia’s Indy Hall, and eventually began production in the shared space Artisan Exchange in West Chester.

Ben found locally sourced Ghee from Lancaster, and added coconut oil, vanilla bean, MCT Oil and goat’s milk to create fatCoffee. fatCoffee comes in single-serving packets that require no refrigeration and is easily squeezed into coffee. It’s easy to blend with a whisk, combine in a blender or shake together with coffee in a sealed container.

After trying fatCoffee different times and in different ways, it’s safe to say that the product does exactly what it’s designed for—and more importantly, it tastes great. The flavor is comparable to a latte without the heavy body, and with an added rich, nutty flavor from the coconut oil and ghee. I tried it as the only thing I had for breakfast, and it kept me energized and feeling full for about three hours, which is exactly what I’m looking for in a breakfast.

If coffee isn’t your bag, it also combines well with tea. When combined with most flavors of tea, the end product almost has a pastry or pie-like flavor that is buttery and smooth. This product is perfect for anyone looking for a quick and easy meal replacement, especially those who are health and fitness conscious, and would be great before a morning workout.
