Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia Raise over $1 Million at Philly Showcase of Wine & Cheese

It was announced earlier this week that The Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia raised over $1 million at their third annual Philly Showcase of Wine & Cheese. This money will be used to support the Clubs’ youth development programs throughout the city. This year’s event surpassed last year’s totals, and the 2015 showcase saw a significant increase in ticket sales. At the event, guests enjoyed a variety of cheeses from BelGioioso Cheese, gourmet foods provided by an assortment of Reading Terminal Market favorites and so much more. Bocelli Family Wines, the highlighted winery for the evening, poured samples alongside 160 other wineries.

“We are thrilled to have surpassed last year’s success at our 2015 Philly Showcase of Wine & Cheese,” exclaimed Lisabeth Marziello, CEO of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. “Boys & Girls Clubs see Philadelphia’s youth as a priority—the future leaders, workers and decision makers of tomorrow. Our Clubs are a safe haven for kids in desperate situations and dilapidated neighborhoods. For the past three years we have been able to unite the community behind this imperative call to action and provide hope for the kids we serve each day.”
