Here are three upcoming food and drink events that you are going to want to attend at Morris Arboretum:

Preserving Strawberries (May 16)

Learn all of the tricks of the trade when it comes to preserving strawberries at this May 16 course hosted by cookbook author and local food blogger Marisa McClellan. The author of Food in Jars, Ms. McClellan knows how to preserve foods and will teach you the steps to preserving strawberries with honey and Pomona’s pectin. The class will take place from 10 a.m.–noon and is $40 for members and $45 for non-members. Reserve your spot online.

Beer Tasting with Weyerbacher Brewing Company (May 20)

Love sampling new beers and want to learn more about your favorite beverage? Sign up for the Beer Tasting class with Bob Fauteux, National Sales Manager for Weyerbacher Brewing Company, on May 20. At this event from 6:30–8:30 p.m., attendees will sample five different Weyerbacher brews alongside complementary food offerings. In addition to grabbing some useful insight into the world of beer, you’ll also have the opportunity to sample a brand-new tart-style beer that is yet to be released! Savory Summer Soups and Salads (May 28)

Want to learn some new soup and salad recipes that will take your summer dining to all new heights? The Savory Summer Soups and Salads class on May 28 will do the trick. Led by Pam Williams, professional chef and owner of Serving Thyme, Inc., this course will focus on combining a wide array of fresh ingredients for a fantastic finished product.
