Reinvent Your Coffee Experience with West Chester’s Peloton Cold Brew

Peloton Cold Brew

Cold brew coffee. In the past few years, this refreshing riff on the old favorite iced coffee has been popping up everywhere in the craft-coffee world. Prized for its lack of acidity, innate complexity and marked smoothness, this cold brew is as likely to be found at your neighborhood cafe as it is in a mixed drink at your favorite upscale bar.

Until now, Chester County cold-brew fanatics have had to rely on producers from outside the area to quench their sophisticated palates. However, fresh and local are cornerstones of great food and drink for a reason. Enter Peloton Cold Brew. Brothers Adam and Dave Jones started Peloton right here in West Chester, Pa.

Peloton Cold Brew

The name “peloton” comes from the world of professional cycling, where it refers to the pack of riders who lead the race—a fitting name for an exciting new company founded by cycling enthusiasts, who are leading the pack on the local beverage scene. Peloton’s cold brew has quite the kick, too.

Starting with single-origin Ethiopian beans, the unique brewing process highlights the flavor profile inherent to this special coffee. Peloton brews in small batches with painstaking attention to quality. Triple filtered and steeped for 24 hours, their rendition of this renowned brew is stellar. Abundant with fruitiness and a sweet aftertaste, Peloton’s cold brew is everything an aficionado could hope for.

Extended cold steeping means extra caffeine in the finished drink. One bottle actually has two servings, which is more than enough to get you zooming (bicycle optional). You can find Peloton at local retail spots in the Chester County area, including The Great Pumpkin, Carlino’s Market, Talula’s Table and Sprout Music Collective. Be sure to check them out on their website and Facebook for the latest news.
