In honor of Independence Day, Union Taco owner Nick Farina will be unveiling the Lobster Roll Taco at noon on Saturday, July 4. Better still: the first 76 Union Taco diners that day will receive one free with the purchase of a taco, torta, burrito or salad.
The Lobster Roll Taco comes with chili butter-basted lobster, guacamole, lettuce, tomato and a flour tortilla. Following the initial complimentary tacos, this melt-in-your mouth taste of summer will be available for $7 per taco.
“Our Lobster Roll Taco is truly an homage to the classic Maine lobster roll, and to me, it’s not really summer until I’ve had fresh lobster!” said Farina. “The lobster roll is the perfect example of the simplicity of a few great flavors, and I wanted to bring the classic lobster roll to Philly in the form of a taco.”
In addition to the lobster roll taco, Union Taco features 11 additional taco varieties: traditional ground Kobe beef, cheesesteak, flash-fried panko fish, poblano braised chicken, chipotle barbecue pork carnitas, seared flank steak, seared mahi mahi, wild mushroom, oxtail, pork cheek al pastor and cactus. Everything on the Union Taco menu is available for dine-in or delivery from Tuesday through Sunday.
