PA Eats Reviews Nomoo Cookie Company

Nomoo cookies

Nomoo cookies, whose name accurately describes their ingredients—or rather their lack of ingredients—are a delicious all-natural, dairy-free treat that is also certified kosher.

David Bader, the founder of Nomoo, which is based in Pipersville, Pennsylvania, came up with the company when many of his friends loved cookies but couldn’t eat them because they contained dairy. He teamed up with Gretchen Dossa, whose daughter’s dairy allergy accustomed her to non-dairy cooking, and Nomoo was born.

Being lactose intolerant myself, I know that finding delicious dairy-free desserts is tricky. That’s why I had to taste-test Nomoo’s cookies—eight of them to be exact.

Here are the results:

Sugah Sugah: This sugar cookie came with a citrus twist. Orange and lemon zest balanced out the sweetness.

Big Chipper

Big Chipper: A great delivery of a chocolate chip cookie hinted with sweet oatmeal. The chocolate chunks tasted as good as any dairy-filled chocolate.

Choco-Lift: My personal favorite. A smooth chocolate cookie, almost brownie-like, that practically melted in my mouth.

Almond Oy

Almond Oy: Chocolate chunks, coconut and almonds made the perfect combination of nutty and sweet.

Ginger Slap: This was a nice version of the traditional gingersnap. It had quintessential cookie paired with a gingery warmth.

Flyin Hawaiian

Flyin’ Hawaiian: A sweet treat, its butteriness and coconut flakes gave it a very tropical flavor.

Big Chipper with Walnuts: Awesome chocolate chip cookie that had light, crunchy walnuts inside.

Oat-Rageous

Oat-Rageous: Interesting spin on the classic oatmeal. Chewy and sweet, with hints of orange zest.

Overall, the Nomoo cookies were fantastic. I recommend these cookies to anyone, dairy-free or not! Those of you who are dairy-free won’t have to miss the sinful delight of delicious cookies because these tasted just as good. And, you can have your own Nomoo cookies mailed to you.
