When you think of South Philadelphia, gardens may not be the first thing to come to mind. That’s what makes the concept of the 5th Annual South Philly Garden Tour so spectacular.
There are many hidden garden gems throughout the streets of South Philadelphia. On September 12 from 1–4 p.m., meander through them on a self-guided tour and get a feel for the green space that exists throughout the area. Presented by the South Philly Food Co-op, this tour offers the perfect opportunity to explore the gardens of South Philadelphia at your own pace.
Tickets for the event are $20 per person when purchased online in advance, $25 the day of the event. Check-in begins at 12:30 p.m. at the Julian Abele Park at 22nd and Carpenter streets. All proceeds will help raise money to open a South Philly food co-op, which is even more reason to attend this unique outdoor event!
