New Restaurant Reservations App Lands in Philly

With a rich tradition of an excellent food and drink culture, Philadelphia has become the sixth city added to the new restaurant app called Reserve. Expanding to Philadelphia was a natural move for Reserve after its April acquisition of zurvu, a restaurant reservations platform that helped guests get tables at dozens of Philadelphia restaurants.

The restaurant reservation service also offers diners recommendations of new places to try as well as an effortless pay and check-splitting feature for the end of the meal. Reserve has already partnered with over 20 of the city’s top restaurants, including Distrito, Fork, Vetri and Zahav, with expansion occurring each week.

The discovery setting lists nearby spots by cuisine, neighborhood and overall vibe. When your reservation is confirmed by a restaurant, you’re able to easily share the details with others in your party. The check-splitting feature can be used to split the entire bill, tip and Reserve’s $5 concierge fee evenly between all members who accepted the invite through the app.

In honor of its recent expansion to Philadelphia, Reserve will be waiving the concierge fee for any meal in the city during their first six weeks (through midnight, October 13).

For a full list of participating restaurants and other information, visit Reserve’s website and download the app on your smartphone or tablet.
