Wegmans Concordville Makes 18,000-Pound Donation, Contributions Include Support for Kennett Food Cupboard

Wegmans Food Donation

Wegmans is known for lending a hand to the local community, and such was the case last week when the grocery store donated nearly 18,000 pounds of nonperishable food items to four local community organizations.

Kennett Food Cupboard, Philabundance, Pennsylvania Cityteam and the Food Bank of Delaware were the lucky and grateful recipients of this massive food donation on October 8 at the soon-to-be-opened Wegmans Concordville location. The food was distributed to these four wonderful local organizations and was the perfect way for Wegmans to be welcomed to the Glen Mills area.

The new Wegmans Concordville, located at 100 Applied Bank Blvd. in Glen Mills, will be open for business starting at 7 a.m. on November 8.
