Become a Wine Pairing, Holiday Entertaining Pro Thanks to Chaddsford Winery

So you are not a wine expert. We won’t tell!

If you’re already sweating the impending holidays and fear your skill sets are short of making you the “it” holiday party host, look no further than Chaddsford Winery for all your educational needs. Just in time for the holiday season, the southern Chester County-based, award-winning winery will roll out wine education courses, slated to unfold through the end of November, which will help you become the sommelier that you are destined to be.

Wine Seminar Chaddsford Winery

“So many of our visitors ask about wine selection, food pairing and seasonal cocktail recipes during this time of year,” revealed Lauren Pasquini, Chaddsford Winery’s Marketing and Communications Manager. “We developed this program to showcase a number of our food-friendly wines that pair exceedingly well with the rich flavors of traditional holiday meals.”

But when you snag your course spot, what are you really getting yourself into? The intimate, 30-minute sessions are structured to help you develop a foolproof method to properly pair wine with seasonal meals as well as build your confidence to plan a progressive wine menu and even create festival cocktail and wine-infused recipes.

The weekend-hosted, small-scale courses are lead by CFW’s very own, expertly trained wine educators, who even cushion the timing for the class in case you have burning entertaining questions that need to be answered. In true Chaddsford fashion, a progressive six-wine tasting is part of the hands-on experience, featuring the winery’s small-batch Artisan Series (Spiced Apple included).

Chaddsford Winery Traminette

Want a teaser of the knowledge you’ll gain at CFW? We tapped lead winemaker Jim Osborn to suggest some expert pairing advice of his own. “I find the aromatically intense Traminette to be the go-to wine for your holiday feast,” he said. “It’s lusty apricot and peach notes pair exceedingly well with roast turkey and savory stuffing, many kinds of wild game as well as Mom’s pumpkin or pecan pies. Even deviled eggs.”

Thirsty? Hungry? Dying for more show-stealing advice? It’s time you allowed Chaddsford Winery to take the guesswork out of holiday entertaining.
