Clean Eating Starts with a 5-Day Reboot Cleanse

“Drink Clean, Play Hard.”

That’s the slogan and motto of the Ion Sport 5-Day Reboot Cleanse. I recently introduced you to Ion Sport Fitness, the Media-based business owned by certified Personal Trainer and Nutrition Specialist Andy Fernandez. As a part of his overall healthy lifestyle program, I not only train at his gym, but he also has helped me with cleaner, healthier eating.

I Took the Plunge—Jumping into the Clean-Eating Challenge

Ion Sport Fitness Smoothies

It all started with the Ion Sport 5-Day Cleanse. First of all, never did I think I’d do a cleanse because I always thought them to be starvation diets. Little did I know how much I’d enjoy the Ion smoothies. There are three delicious flavors including the fresh and fruity Pina Kale-ada and Banana Berry Mon’, plus the sweet Chocolate Wave. You drink one for breakfast, one for lunch and one as a snack. Throughout the day, you also eat snacks—almonds, fruit, and cut vegetables are great go-to foods. For dinner, you eat a well-balanced meal like a chicken breast, veggies and brown rice. Along with the smoothies, Fernandez includes recipe ideas, cleanse instructions and he is always available online for any questions or comments.

The Scoop Behind the Locally Developed Cleanse

Fernandez and business partner, Mike McGrath of The Charge Group, created the Ion Cleanse to help their clients get back on track with weight management and better eating habits.

“We are constantly challenging our clients to follow a specific meal routine, which integrates our homemade smoothies and meal suggestions,” said Fernandez. “We create the smoothies from scratch with fresh ingredients and essential nutrients for optimal body functioning. Unlike most cleanses, the Ion plan lets you eat delicious meals. It’s all about ‘Clean Eating.’ I encourage my clients to choose whole, natural foods and minimize processed foods.”

Post-Cleanse—My Report

Salad and Drink

When the five days were up, I felt absolutely great. Following a month of eating heavy foods during the holidays, I felt refreshed and rejuvenated, and basically like myself again. I’m now back to clean eating, enjoying fresh healthy salads, soups and other nutrition-packed meals. Plus, my exercise regimen is in full force and I have a positive attitude as 2016 charges on!

How to Continue Clean Eating … Beyond 5 Days

“To keep up their momentum all year long, I always encourage clients to buddy up with friends, and hold each other accountable to daily-check-ins,” said Fernandez. “The more people you have in your corner, the better your chances of long-term success.”

How true it is! Our Ion group appreciates chatting on the Ion Facebook page, exchanging stories and ideas, plus the ability to get Fernandez’ expert advice and support along our journey.
