Celebrating National Margarita Day on Monday, February 22? We’ve got a trio of drink stops to mark the occasion—and even one to help you celebrate a few days early!
Get a jumpstart on the party at Lotus Farm to Table in Media, which will be serving a next-level margarita that is legitimately good for you on Saturday, February 20! The Oolong tea and lime margarita has a delicious combination of tea and lime juice, garnished with a dehydrated lime and black lava salt rim. Oolong, the powerhouse of teas, reduces chronic health conditions (like heart diseases, inflammatory disorders and high cholesterol levels) and provides vital antioxidants while supporting bone health and clear skin.
On National Margarita Day itself, make your first destination Avenue Kitchen in Glen Mills or Villanova. You’re going to want to try the newly concocted blood orange margarita, which conquers the sweet and tangy combination. It features tequila el epsilon, blood oranges, lime and agave. Pair it with hand-cut sea salt potato chips and chive buttermilk dip.
Next stop: Paramour in Wayne. Channel your inner sass with a grilled fuego margarita, which includes grilled pineapple-jalapeño tequila, pineapple juice, agave nectar and fresh lime with a salty rim. Plus, pineapple juice is packed with vitamin C, a key vitamin in preventing hangovers.
You’ll also want to head to Ardmore’s recently opened Besito Mexican in Suburban Square for celebratory specials that include $4 off of all 10 of their margaritas, which run the gamut from classic to inventive (featuring ingredients like tamarind and chipotle). Tequila lovers can enjoy a complimentary Tequila Tasting sponsored by Patrón Tequila from 4–7 p.m., along with other drink discounts as part of Happy Hour from 4–6 p.m. Besito will additionally be offering $5 appetizers and Street Tacos as well as a decadent special, Queso Fundido con Langosta—Maine lobster mixed with a tinga, rajas, queso chihuahua and cilantro.
