We are currently embracing the smoothie craze full force—researching blenders, visiting new juice shops popping up in town and expanding our smoothie menu at home. For years, our standby has been the good ‘ole peanut butter and banana smoothie, but as we started learning more about the world of smoothies and juices, we knew it was time to think outside of the box.
Over the past few months we have had everything from savory smoothies—one in particular reminded me of drinking guacamole (which may sound gross but was actually pretty good)—to sweet smoothies packed with greens to full-on citrusy lip-smacking smoothies.
Personally, I tend to lean toward the sweet, fresh garden variety and the lip-smacking citrus smoothies. Some of my favorite newfound ingredients include cucumbers, ginger, Medjool dates, beets, fennel—the list could go on. With that in mind, I bring you a smoothie lover’s delight, chock-full of garden goodness.
