It was a good month for fundraising when it comes to Meals on Wheels Delaware‘s two annual events: the Cellar Masters’ Wine Auction and Celebrity Chefs’ Brunch, which took place on April 16 and 17, respectively.
The Cellar Masters’ Wine Auction featured a multi-course, seated wine pairing dinner in which several chefs prepared the meal, one course per chef. In addition to the exceptional collaborative meal, fine wine and other spectacular auction items were up for grabs, such as a trip to South Africa and an original Jamie Wyeth artwork piece.
The second event of the weekend, the Celebrity Chefs’ Brunch, featured 28 creative chefs preparing their best brunch offerings. Signature brunch cocktails, live music and a silent auction were other featured aspects highlighted at the Celebrity Chefs’ Brunch.
A total of more than 800 Meals on Wheels Delaware supporters attended the weekend’s events and lent a hand to raise funds for the more than 4,000 homebound seniors—bravo, everyone!
