Ambler Yards Brings Pop-Up Beer Garden to Montgomery County

Ambler Yards

The Ambler area has always been one of those suburban go-to places to enjoy great cuisine, festivals, family entertainment and renowned theater and orchestra. Approximately 14 miles north of Philadelphia, this section of Montgomery County is also known for its history, culture and sense of community.

Enter business partners Matt Sigel and Marc Policarpo, who last year took a former industrial site in Lower Gwenydd and created a multi-use, 25-acre professional business campus called Ambler Yards.

This summer, an acre of shaded fenced-in meadow within the campus has been magically transformed into a relaxing, free, ticketed pop-up, the Ambler Yards Beer Garden. Bringing an inner-city beer garden feel to the suburbs are locals Kevin Tierney and Ben Bergman.

Replete with clusters of colorful comfortable chairs and picnic tables, the beer garden operates on Thursdays and Saturdays (weather permitting) until the end of June and includes hands-on games like Jenga, Corn Hole and Can Jam as well as live music.

Scrumptious grub, a couple of rotating craft beers and bottles as well as Angry Orchard Cider are available for purchase from Cantina Feliz. The menu includes the Feliz dog, chicken tinga tacos and the restaurant’s famous salsa and guacamole.

The event is a perfect date night and is most definitely family and kid friendly. No pets are allowed. Tickets are required and can be secured online.

Ambler Yards will be closed Memorial Day weekend, but check out the Free Family Fun Night on Friday, May 27, from 5–8 p.m., which promises a bounce house, a magician and a great time for all.

Ambler Yards is located at 300 Brookside Ave. in Ambler; phone: (267) 304-6819.
