Summer Jam Concert Series Returns to Downingtown for Second Summer Event (July 29)

The Downingtown Summer Jam Series is back! This Friday, July 29, head to the concert gazebo in Kerr Park for five live musical acts, local crafters, food and beer.

Last month’s June Summer Jam was a huge success, bringing over 700 people into the heart of Downingtown for music, food and fun with family, friends and neighbors. “It’s great to see the community supporting us and catching on to this event,” says Summer Jam coordinator Phil Mascherino.

Downingtown Beer MugThe beer garden hosted by Station Taproom will be back this month, featuring locally brewed craft beers. New this Friday will be a visit from Pottstown’s Manatawny Still Works, which will be offering handcrafted cocktails.

The Happy Pita, St. Anthony’s Restaurant, Mompops and J-Dogs Catering will offer food at the event.

The evening will be highlighted with five musical acts ranging from rock and country to bluegrass. Acoustic musician Kenny Lawson will take the stage at 6 p.m., followed by singer-songwriter Robb Balchunas. Young talent Sam Schmidthuber will perform at 7 p.m., followed by local classic rock groups Free Range and The Billy Penn Band.
