On Saturday, August 27, food and wine enthusiasts can dine in style and support the The Land Conservancy for Southern Chester County (TLC)’s efforts to save Barnard’s Orchard during the Brandywine in White event.

The orchard, a circa 1862 fourth generation family farm with 74 acres of working agricultural lands, is located at 1073 Wawaset Road near Kennett Square and boasts both an active orchard and a farm store. Conserving the property will ensure that the lands remain in active agriculture in perpetuity and will eliminate the possibility of future development. To date, TLC has raised $863,000 toward the $901,000 project. In order to raise the remaining amount needed, TLC is hosting the Brandywine in White fundraiser.

At 5:30 p.m. on the day of the event, guests will converge on a secret location to participate in an elegant “BYO” wine and food event. Guests at Brandywine in White should dress in all white and arrive at the secret outdoor location with a picnic dinner. Bring place settings, wine, glasses, flowers, napkins and anything else needed to create a chic white event. White clothed tables and chairs will await you upon your arrival. Feel free to bring along your own white accessories for your tablescape—prizes will be awarded for the most elegant!

The location, somewhere in the Wilmington/Brandwine Valley area, remains secret for now, but will be released to ticket holders on Thursday, August 25.

Ready to party for a great cause? Tickets to this exclusive pop-up event are $30 per person and can be purchased online.
